  • Ascertain whether Load Backrest is securely attached
  • Visually check hydraulic hoses, mast chains, cables and stops
  • Attachment of overhead guard and finger guards
  • If LPG, we check the tank for rust, corrosion and damage
  • Perform battery check by checking water levels, electrolyte levels and charge
  • Hydraulic, brake and transmission fluid, engine oil and radiator coolant levels
  • Visually check all engine belts
  • Test engine air cleaner
  • If diesel, we check the fuel sedimentor
  • Seat belt and hood latch check

For the health of your forklift, and the safety of your staff, we recommend that you have regular maintenance checks and servicing schedules performed.

On average, for every 1000 hours of forklift use, or every 6 months, you should conduct a full maintenance and safety inspection as a minimum.

Between forklift inspections it is imperative that your forklift driver also does mandatory inspections before operating.
